of delight. Ten years ago, just after graduating, Olivier settled in this superb place beside the lagoon.
Ever since La Cigale has been winding its way up the delectably celebrated ladder to become a symbol of success.
After being greeted in by Olivier, you will be taken care of by his mother Claudine and his brother, both attending to
your service.
No false promises for this restaurant whose name was inspired by Jean De La Fontaine: taste a piece of Provence, try a bite of the Basque region or of the Mediterranean coast… the sun is in your plate.

La cigale et la fourmi 

La Cigale ayant chanté
Tout l’été,
Se trouva fort dépourvue
Quand la bise fut venue :
Pas un seul petit morceau
De mouche ou de vermisseau.
Elle alla crier famine
Chez la fourmi sa voisine,
La priant de lui prêter
Quelque grain pour subsister
Jusqu’à la saison nouvelle.
Je vous paierai, lui dit-elle,
Avant l’oût, foi d’animal,
Intérêt et principal.
La fourmi n’est pas prêteuse :
C’est là son moindre défaut.
Que faisiez-vous au temps chaud ?
Dit-elle à cette emprunteuse.
–Nuit et jour à tout venant
Je chantais, ne vous déplaise.
–Vous chantiez  !
j’en suis fort aise.

The Cicada and the Ant

Cicada, having sung her song
All summer long,
Found herself without a crumb
When winter winds did come.
Not a scrap was there to find
Of fly or earthworm, any kind.
Hungry, she ran off to cry
To neighbour Ant, and specify:
Asking for a loan of grist,
A seed or two so she'd subsist
Just until the coming spring.
She said, "I'll pay you everything
Before fall, my word as animal,
Interest and principal."
Well, no hasty lender is the Ant;
It's her finest virtue by a lot.
"And what did you do when it was hot?"
She then asked this mendicant.
"To all comers, night and day,
I sang. I hope you don't mind."
"You sang?" Why, my joy is unconfined.
Now dance the winter away.
